Carlile Moves the Iron Dog

While the Iron Dog is all about the race, without the support of all our sponsors and partners – we’d be going nowhere, fast. Carlile Transportation Systems has been a great partner of the Iron Dog for many years. They are truly the Ice Road Truckers that keep us moving.

Just like their website reads, Carlile really does specialize in unique challenges. Before the races even begin, Carlile has moved fuel, food, computers and just about anything you can think of to help us setup the Iron Dog headquarters and move things all over the State.

Anchorage
Carlile has dropped off and picked up supplies both from our offices and the SBS warehouse (another great sponsor).

Big Lake
Instead of having to drive a dozen pickups between Anchorage and Big Lake, Carlile will be helping us setup the Start of the race in one big move. Awesome!

Wasilla
For our Safety Expo and Tech Inspection at the Sports Center in Wasilla, Carlile dropped off everything we needed in one load. What a time saver!

Fairbanks
Before we even started the race, Carlile helped us move supplies back and forth from Anchorage as we prepared the computers and equipment for our Fairbanks headquarters (this year at the downtown Marriott). After the Start of the race, Carlile will haul all of our banners, signs, supplies and tools needed to setup the Finish in downtown Fairbanks. This sure beats taking a caravan of personal pickups!

Talkeetna
A major component of setting up the race is all about those hard to reach checkpoints. The first leg of getting supplies out there is to get them to our chartered air carriers which is exactly what Carlile does for us. This year we used Talkeetna Aero Services to deliver stakes, oil, water, fuel and supplies to Poorman, Ophir, Rohn, Puntilla and Nikolai.

Thank you Carlile, we appreciate your support!
