In past years, the Iron Dog community has used tools like Blogger to keep in touch and post recent news, pictures and racer updates from checkpoints all along the trail. While many have asked for a “blog”, what they are really asking for is a “forum”. Forums are notoriously difficult to manage, often get hacked and typically generates negative or unpleasant behavior. So, for the Iron Dog, we’re asking you to join us on our fan page on Facebook.
- One of the best reasons for using Facebook…it’s where the people are!
- It’s simple. In seconds you can post pictures, maps, news, links, updates from your computer or cell phone. Share your Iron Dog stories instantly!
- Keep it real. With forums and other “blogging” tools it’s easy to post anonymous comments that distract from the race. With Facebook, you can easily ignore and block users without even having to ask a moderator. Just report it with a click or choose to only “listen” to the Official Iron Dog voice.
- Want to follow just one team or talk about one checkpoint? Create your own page and connect with the Iron Dog.
See you online.
