Congratulations to Team #14, Marc McKenna and Dusty Van Meter for being the first team to reach Nome. Thanks to Donlin Creek, they took home $10,000 in specially minted .999 pure gold coins. The coins were minted with a new logo and artwork depicting a pick, shovel and gold pan to pay homage to the City of Nome.
Donlin Creek is the key sponsor in making the new “Gold Rush” prize a reality. The Iron Dog is grateful for the support and looks forward to this exciting new award and hopes to see it continue for years to come. Marc McKenna seemed to be all smiles when he sat down to survey the prize (pictured below).
